Meet-the-artist reception with Eun-Kyung Suh starts at 5:00 p.m.

Untold Stories, an exploration of identity and space. Artworks by Korean-American artist Eun Kyung Suh are featured in the exhibit. Suh, associate professor of art at the University of Minnesota Duluth, explores the diasporic experiences of Korean adoptees and immigrants. Her textile sculptures and installations address feelings of alienation within an adoptive society. Suh is an accomplished artist who has exhibited throughout the United States and internationally.

UNDISCOVERED WORLDS. THE SECRET OF LACEBIRD: PAINTINGS BY PUSAincludes paintings which focus on “the little things in between big things, for example, a small crack in a skyscraper’s foundation, the inside of a lemon peel or a bubble in boiling porridge.” Her visit is sponsored by the Estonian Embassy; World Artists Experiences, Inc.; and SU Cultural Affairs Office.

The Second Annual Art War Water Music

Building off the success of Art War 2013, this 2014 live-action art event re-challenges local and regional artist to bring their talent to the table and battle it out with other artists for cash and other prizes! The competition takes place during the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce’s 32nd annual Salisbury Festival on Saturday, April 26.

Works selected for Water Music will be presented as a listening event on Thursday, April 24 in downtown Salisbury, Maryland at the Salisbury University Art Galleries Downtown Campus. The listening event will take place at 7:00pm and again at 8:00pm.
