This lecure draws from her experiences in administration in major American art museums including – The Detroit Institute of Arts, Baltimore Museum of Art, The Chrysler Museum of Art and the now-defunct Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. – Dressel discusses the various roles, background skills and rewards in the management of cultural non-profit organizations. These include career choices in organizations dedicated to visual and fine arts, history and natural history, as well as the performing arts of theatre, music and dance.
