Reception: 3rd Friday, February 18, 5 – 8pm
Artist Talk: Thursday, March 10, 5:30pm
Artist, Morgan Craig believes that architectural structures act as both repositories and vehicles for memory. They influence culture and identity by providing a framework through which facets of society can be expressed. This body of work investigates how identity is influenced by the types of architectural edifices present in a given landscape; specifically post-industrial edifices. His work is not merely a method of documentation, but a sociopolitical commentary on the effects of hubris, avarice, deregulated capitalism, free trade, and technological obsolescence upon communities throughout the world.
