February 10 – April 4, 2020 | University Gallery, 109 Fulton Hall

SU Art Galleries is excited to announce its upcoming exhibition Latinexodus, featuring works by Hoesy Corona, Lizania Cruz, Luis Sahagun, René Treviño and Nora Valdez, on view February 10 – April 4 at the University Gallery. Latinexodus presents the artists’ thought-provoking and poetic responses to a long history of tumult and unrest in Latin America, charting environmental, economic, political and socio-economic developments that have led to mass migration and immigration of Latinx people in the late 20th and early 21st centuries.

You are invited to the exhibition reception on Saturday, March 28th, 2 – 4 pm, at University Gallery. The reception will take place during the Middle Atlantic Conference on Latin American Studies meeting at Salisbury University!

Artist Nora Valdez will give a lecture on February 5 at 5:30 pm in Conway 153. Valdez uses sculpture and installations in her practice to create images that reflect on the nature of change, the life of the individual, and the forces that buffet our souls. The lecture is free and open to the public and no RSVP is required.

We look forward to seeing you at the exhibition! University Gallery and Conway Hall are both located on the Salisbury University Campus. University Gallery is on the first floor of Fulton Hall, facing College Avenue. Conway Hall is on the corner of Route 13 and College Avenue.
