Marianna Williams: Traces
Traces, a solo exhibition of works by artist Marianna Williams, will be on view at the Electronic Gallery February 28 - December, 2020. Williams explores the different ways that we dig up and re-frame the everyday moments which inform our identity, using the studio as a kind of visual laboratory to ask questions through materials and to open up learning through play. Sculptural and mounted works as well as video and processing environments evoke new and distilled forms of sensory knowledge, exploring the way invidiuals process experience and memory.
The artist will give a talk on February 27 at 5:30 in Conway 153. This event is free and the public is warmly invited. No RSVP is required.
Williams attended Brown University and received her BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design. She completed her MFA with a concentration in Time Based and Interactive Media at the University of Pennsylvania. Williams has participated in solo and group exhibitions throughout the Southeast, New England, New York, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Dallas, and in Rome, Italy and is currently an Assistant Professor of New Media at Augusta University.
The Electronic Gallery is located in Conway Hall 128 on the Salisbury University Campus, on the corner of College Avenue and Route 13.
